Meet the team of experts behind the ‘Climate Changers’ series who are helping to change the Global narrative.
To maximise the project’s global reach we’ll include a wide range of experts and contributors who are active in the climate change movement to help promote the series and amplify the reach. We’re working with ‘Ashden’, ‘Climate Reality Project’ and the ‘Carbon Free Group’, to source contributors in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. It’s important to feature a range of innovation and locations in order to deliver an informed tone to the series.
Karl is a director of the Carbon Free Group CIC, a consortium of clean tech providers with global expertise in zero energy development and sustainable buildings and infrastructure. Karl is also a Climate Reality Leader, and a business unit head for Clean Energy UK start up, a commercial energy consultancy.
In 2006, former US Vice President Al Gore got the world talking about climate change with his Award winning film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. A group of activists, cultural leaders, scientists, and storytellers committed to building a sustainable future. Climate Reality, is a diverse group of passionate individuals who’ve come together to solve the greatest challenge of our time.
Ashdenis a charity that makes Awards once a year to global leaders in sustainable energy. They gather insights and on-the-ground intelligence from the process, using our winners’ stories and data to inspire and offer a positive narrative to show that the change is already happening, and anyone can be part of it.

The system uses 95% less water than field farming, making it over 390 times times more productive per square foot than traditional agriculture.
I’m Not Plastic
Pioneer: Kevin Kumala, Avani Eco
Concept: Reinventing Plastic
Kevin Kumala set up Avani Eco in Bali in 2014 with the aim to use nature and technology to find a solution to the plastic pollution epidemic and create packaging with principals.
Today, Avani Eco produces game-changing biodegradable and compostable plastic, food packaging and hospitality products made from cassava starch and other plant-based polymers that, unlike petroleum based polymers, rapidly degrade after use.
